Since 2002 the municipality of Svojsin has been intensively and systematicly applying itself to a care for surroundings. It is important to mention there was no necessary attention addressed to the sphere in the past here and there was not enough documents able to be taken up here either. Also fellows' original ties to the landscape were broken by many traumatizing events of the past century no matter if we mention both the wars' period , compulsory departure of original inhabitants or the subsequent criminous communistic regime here.The regime entirely ignored relation's equivalence of the fellows and the nature.Did not honour nor revere any traditions,did not know conceptions as humility and respect.Original roots were teared off and the nature's face got mercilessly scared. Fortunately many tracks as to local landscape's individuality have been surviving till today, many tracks as to inhabitants'relation to the earth which they tilled and which subsequently granted livelihood to them..So the rural landscape paradoxically became-over all its strokes-the biggest remembrance's spring and a model for those who feel a liability for this world's run.For those who know the future's fate depends on our contemporary manners.
The following document was started to be created in 2002: Local muncipality renewal's programme for the 2003-2006 period. Wide public has actively taken a part in open discussions of the programme .This programme includes entire gamut of inhabitants' needs in a neighbourhood they reside and live in. The biggest attention is paid above all to a conception already included in the programme's name itself,speaking about the renewal conception. In a field of care of environment a considerable attention is paid to adjustments and care of public area in the village's intravilan though the same attention's degree is paid to extravilan's protection and cultural renewal of the landscape.This document is open and there is a possibility to fill it in gradually as the contemporary demands request it and as further suggestions of the inhabitants come. The programme was coherently filled in 2005. This document is valid for the 2003-2006 period.
For further term of office of the village's local authority (2006-2010) was the Local muncipality renewal's programme updated .Any changes happening as any additions were always discussed with the public during some public meetings or other thematic meetings with the populace.Creation of individual projects was always continued by the municipality (for example planting of line alleys,revitalisation of water areas,finishing of chateau park and surroundings' renewal).Complex revitalization of the village's green project(it's preparation)has been started recently.
The municipality has had an urbanistic essay of development and stabilization of its region elaborated since 1998. The essay was raised to a plan of district in 2004 only. The municipality placed an order to let elaborate necessary changes of the plan of district in 2007. The changes contain realization of greenery in the palace park surroundings and farming outbuildings as well. But in the first instance, these adjustments and changes solve lack of parcels of land for new housing development. A process of confirmation of changes # of the plan of district will be finished in 2010 spring months the latest.
As to the care of the region outside the built-up areas, the municipality has progressed the most in its local parts as Holyne, Nynkov and Rebri. Simple landed adjustments in a cooperation with authorities concerned were done in all of the areas. These adjustments solve-among the others-protection of the region, areas of biocorridors, windbreaks, dry polders and building of new back roads appendant plantings included, furthermore an adjustment of water areas etc. Realizations of the single arrangements have progressed the most in the lastly named settlement. A dry polder has been built in the past already, three back roads either. A water reservoir under the village has been rebuilt too.
A project of big biocorridor was suplementally realized between Nynkov and Rebri. A wide strip of greenery with a counting natural succession was built on the cadasters' frontier. It is properly added by trees and bushes planting. The municipality counts with a subsequent care for the areas and arrangements.
The municipality has been declared by 8 memorable trees on its area so far. There are two lindens just next to the fountain on the village's green, furthermore two lindens close to former chapel of St. Nicholas near to the road to CD railway station and one linden in palace park behind the church. An another memorable tree is full-grown chestnut near local school, red beech in palace garden and an oak next to "RADAR" the camp.
There is a baroque chateau built in 1723 in the village. The municipality elaborated a conceptual document named "Project of architectonic heritage's protection" in 2004. The project has been continued by further component projects supplementing this basic one. Further executive documents (f.e.finishing of park behind the chateau in the eastern part - an utility palace garden before) are in a process of preparations still today. One of the projects is "Project of renewal of the palace gardens and park" which was started in 2003 already in a form of an essay and was in its draft subsequently on display in palace expositional space. After consultations with the public and engineer architect Josef Kraus was the project finished and approved. It was managed to get some financial funds needy to realize the project in 2008 ("Programme for development of the Czech countryside"). The first part of the adjustments is already realized today. It means renewal of both the southern palace terraces and of a part of the park behind the church on the northern side. The chateau was visited widely by many visitors in 2009 and the palace terraces newly reconstructed played an important role in it.
Under the terms of care for the landscape the municipality obtained a support of "Programme of region's care"of the Ministry of environment. The support was provided to let realize an another step-to renew balks, this time in a form of an orchard. The move is to plant 57 pices of traditional regional strains of fruit trees which are trimmed by shrubby vegetations on the land's frontier (red dogwood, sallow, roof). The distances between the trees are sufficient enough to let the grass maintain by agricultural machines. In this context an agreement with local agricultural subject was made (cooperation) and so there was no need to take the area needy out of the agricultural soil fund here. At the same time a strip of greenery buffer zone was created before the village's built-up area by the orchard's establishment. So a partial elimination of the former high-capacity cowshed's building in the contex of the entire countryside will happen as well. We consider this project to be very contributive and exemplary.
In the past years the municipality let elaborate a project of revitalization of two ponds in a local piece Nynkov. Two ponds in quite bad conditions were about to be found in Nynkov anyway. One of the ponds was practically flat for years because of an unleaky barrier missing. Both the ponds were clogged by a mud and dirt for all the years and did not meet their purpose at all. In 2009 the municipality managed to get a grant of the "Operating programme of environment" within "Improvement of conditions of the nature and ladscape" the remedy, understep "Optimization of water mode of the countryside". The first period of the revitalisation was started in autumn 2009. The project should be continued in 2010 on.
